Fight off against 3 other mates
No, no, not another game. It’s the new add-on for Resident Evil 5, ‘Versus Mode’. Available on XBLM for around 400MS points (Not sure about PS3, don’t have one. EDIT: Around $5 apparently.), and will feature what appears to be a four player deathmatch. Also with the download will be 1 on 1 and 2 on 2 Team Deathmatches, although it mentioned something about fighting Majini as well. Must be competitive mercenaries. Awesome. Yeah, I’ve not played it, because I’m cheap. But it sounds good, just daft at the same time. Who wants to join games with people running round as handcannon wielding Wesker? No one. I’ll update when I play it.

GTA TLad Personal Review March 24, 2009

Just thought I would write up a post on The Lost and Damned. I purchased it for 1600 Microsoft Points which cost me about £10, and I have got to say it was well worth the deal. The game content is amazing.
The main storyline is that you are crusining around with your biker friends, looking for jobs, and progressing your life. You have your own clubhouse and things like that. Things such as races and gangwars between The Lost (you) and Hells Angels are unlocked as you progress. Best bit about races? You can whack your opponents with a baseball bat, sending them flying into… the road!
There are many addon features since GTA 4, and many would say that it has took alot of work. The stroyline is new and always makes you want to come back and play more. I would give it a rating of 9/10, and would definatly suggest that you purchase some points and get this game yourself, although you will require the GTA IV disk, and you will have a hefty download time, as its a 1.4gb download.
Changing CoD5 Clan Tag Colors March 24, 2009

Recently people have been finding that after the map pack was available, including 3 maps and a brand new zombie map, that they could change the color of their clan tag. It’s a pretty cool feature, like the PS3, by defining a color in your clan tag you can change its color.
Known Colors:
Red
Cyan
Yelw
Grn
These are the only ones I know of at the moment, I will be sure to update you once there are more colors available. I’ll check the PS3 at my mates house to find out what colors he knows!
Resident Evil 5 – Replay Value March 24, 2009

Ever played a good game all the way through and never played it again? Yes you have, don’t lie. Well there’s hardly (And I use the term lightly) any chance that you’ll throw this away.
Emblems – Like the Blue Medallions in Resi 4, these 30 emblems pop up from time to time, in the most ridiculous of places. You may want to take the time to look for them, as they give you bonuses to buy after beating the game.
Infinite ammo – Resi 4 had infinite rocket launchers, magnums, lazers and thompsons. Resi 5 has infinite ammo for ANY weapon you get during the game. Not only that, but you can get access to a gatling gun, a handcannon, a triple barreled shotgun, and a longbow! All you have to do is upgrade a weapon to the max and buy it from the menu.
Mercenaries – The prestigous survival arena is back again, starring 4 characters from the game; Chris, Sheva, ???, and Wesker. Like before, survive while killing every living thing, and hope you don’t get killed. Not much to be really gained from this, ‘cept bragging rights for your A rank runthrough.
Professional difficulty – So you completed regular and got infinite ammo for your L.Hawk? Went onto veteran and complained about how easy it was with your death weapons? Well, go on to Professional and we’ll see who’s laughing. I’ve not unlocked it yet, but I’m guessing it’ll be quite hard, and I wouldn’t expect infinite ammo to actually work. So good luck with that, there’s some G in it at the end, 70 of them in fact.
ACTION FIGURES! – They’re back, and there’s plenty of them. With little voices too! Collect them all for 30G, but you’ll need the emblems to get them all!!
Sorry, I have the mental age of 5 and a half.
Well that’s it for Resi 5 replay value, which I think you’ll agree, is a lot.
Limited Edition Red Xbox 360 Elite is a Jasper! March 24, 2009

Just thought id make a quick post about this to let you guys know that the Limited Edition RED Xbox 360 Elite is a Jasper Chipset. An unboxing video created by an Xbox director, showed that the console was only using 150W power supply. This means that the Jasper Chipset is made up of a 65nm GPU and CPU. This means that it will consume less power from the original 170W version, and seeing as the RRoD is linked to overheating, will have less, if any, chance of the RRoD as not as much heat is produced.
It’s also worth pointing out that the Red Edition also supports HDMI output, so if you have a HDTV you shouldn’t have any problems hooking it up to your TV.

Melonboy and Othergirl, back to stop the virus. Again.
Don’t really know whether I should be putting this up here, but meh, let’s see what happens.
Yeah, so I’m a Resident Evil fan. Whether you love it for the cheesy voice acting, insane plot twists, or the way you wet yourself when the dogs burst through the windows, I can safely say, those memories are going to stay locked up. Forever. That’s right. Paid voice actors; the voices actually sound alright, which shocked me a little. And the characters aren’t brain dead (mostly). They’ve grown logic!
But this isn’t crap your-pants-when-going-round-a-corner gaming anymore. Some things have been dumbed down a bit, and feels, well, ordinary. If you’ve played Resi 4, don’t expect a new hyped up system, you’ll be shooting the same. All the cute little treasures you used to find lying around, they’re weapons now. When you combined your gems together to get 10 gazillion ptas, you can’t do that anymore. Waiting to find the merchant and wait for the immortal words “Stranger”? No such thing, just checkpoint look and buy. Not sounding too good, eh?
Ah, but it is good. Very. Even though it’s been altered for people who can’t solve puzzles and waste their ammo shooting chickens for the hundredth time, it is enjoyable and exciting. The first chapter has you running away from a crowd of Majini (town zombies), and makes you either run and hide in an old building, or take them on and die. Great stuff. But like I say, there’s no hour long puzzles that make you sigh anymore. The closest I got was grabbing emblems for the 700th time in the series. And that took fifteen minutes.
Storyline – Predictable yet shocking. We all know that the minor guy will turn into an evil monster sooner or later. It’s tradition. It’s who these people are which is more shocking. Shan’t reveal anything, because I’m a nice guy. But, if you know the series, you might want to take the time to soak in the cutscenes. Of epicness. I’d run through the storyline, but you could find that ANYWHERE.
I think that’s everything. Might run through the bonus things later, but this was just a very quick runthrough of what I think of it. If you want to ask questions, please feel free. I don’t bite. That’s what dogs are for.
Discuss…with rusty blades.

CoD5 Beats GoW2? February 28, 2009

I thought that this was rather amusing. Being a CoD5 player myself, and hating GoW (don’t spam me!), this put a cheeky grin on my face. The latest wordwide charts show that CoD5 is beating GoW2. The first person shooter, Call of Duty 5, has managed to sell 4.34 million units. This outweighs GoW2 by over 400,000 copies, which just sells up at 4.3 million units.
What do you think about this. GoW/CoD5? Take your pick, but id rather play with an extra 400,000 players!
