But at the same time, it shows how strong the father's faith is! He, and his whole family, was able to forgive the boy for killing the mother, and almost killing him. It shows just how amazing faith in God can be! I also must come back to what was the boy thinking?? Did he really think that killing his parents would enable him to play the game? I mean, you can't say that it was a crime of passion. He didn't go shoot them the same night that they took the game away. He waited. Then, after shooting both parents, he tried to set it up to look like a homicide/suicide. That took a lot of premeditation and anger! And the law demands that a person be punished for this. Ultimately, I finish off with: The boy's family should forgive him; and they did! The law should punish him; and it did! But, Jesus is the only one that the boy has left to ask forgiveness from. Jesus can save even the most demented of murderers. What do you think that means for you? If you have never killed someone, or robbed a bank, you might think that you're not that bad of a person. But guess what..unless you ask forgiveness for the sins you have committed, heaven is not gonna be your home. Jesus will forgive anyone. All you have to do is ask. this story is very sad.
