Recent gadgets have enabled users of the Xbox 360, to plug there Mouse and Keyboard into the Xbox 360. Why an earth would you want to do that we ask? Well the reason thousands of people are doing this is to improve accuracy with scoped weapons. The XFPS System is an add-on to the Xbox 360, which simply slots into one of several USB ports of the 360, and gives the user two different ports, one for the mouse, one for the keyboard. It is really simply to setup; just simply plug the XFPS system into a USB slot, attach a wired Mouse and Keyboard to the XFPS System, and once enabled the XFPS System has a standard Keyboard and Mouse layout for use. You may also use your controller also! Just set your controller up as normal, and the Xbox 360 will respond to whichever device is being controlled. This means that for close combat you could be using your controller, and for long range combat you can be using your mouse and keyboard, for pin-point accuracy! No power cable is needed either, it runs off USB 2.0 Power.
There seems to be many good things about the XFPS System. But there are also a few downsides to it. Many people have generally found a small delay between pushing the fire button on the mouse, and the console responding and actually firing the weapon. Also you will be unable to use your wired headset, as the Xbox 360 is unable to recognize it connected to your controller whilst the XFPS System is in use. Although if you are a lucky one, you may still use a wireless headset at the same time, because these connect to the Xbox 360, not the controller or the XFPS System. Another downside to the product is the price. Oh yes! If you want this bad boy, its going to cost you around £65/$130, which is just a little overpriced to use your Mouse and Keyboard on the Xbox. Nevertheless, if you want it, you better get saving up your pocket money (Or your freebie site points) Also the XFPS System is not available in most stores, and must generally be ordered online.
As we can see, it also supports the PC. Users may plug the PS2 Controllers into the XFPS System to use it with PC Games, and it is said that this improves game play with the PC drastically.
Final thoughts, the XFPS System is not really that good for an Xbox 360 gamer. There is no voice support, unless you are willing to pay out for a wireless headset, a problem with the response time between your mouse click and the Xbox 360, and costs a whopping £65/$130. Your choice, is it really worth the money?
